Les Schwab: More Than a Sponsor, A Partner in Hope

For more than 15 years, Les Schwab Tire Centers has supported Central Oregon in ways that go far beyond sponsorships or donations. Their longstanding partnership with The Giving Plate reflects a deep commitment to community, compassion, and ensuring neighbors facing hunger are cared for with dignity. As a longtime Gold Sponsor of The Giving Plate’s Annual Gala, Les Schwab has faithfully supported our mission year after year, helping strengthen the fight against hunger across Central Oregon.

Every day, The Giving Plate relies on vehicles to rescue, transport, and distribute food throughout the region. Les Schwab has played a vital role in keeping those vehicles safe and road-ready through tire services, brake replacements, seasonal maintenance, and ongoing support that helps us continue reaching neighbors in need.

This past year, as The Giving Plate responded to the growing demand for food assistance and the urgent need for additional food storage space, we made the difficult decision to sunset our Jingle Christmas event. Les Schwab stepped in immediately. Through our collaborative community relationships and regional partnerships, they will ensure thousands of donated toys stay here in Central Oregon, where they will continue circulating through local nonprofits serving children and families across the region. Because of Les Schwab, the spirit of our Jingle event continues to reach local families.

Their generosity continued again this year through another $20,000 grant supporting our operations and food storage expansion. As food insecurity continues to rise across Central Oregon. This investment will help us safely store and distribute food to even more neighbors in need.

To the entire Les Schwab team, thank you for continuing to show up for this community year after year. Thank you for helping keep food moving, vehicles running, toys local, and hope alive across Central Oregon. We are deeply grateful to call you partners in the fight against hunger.
