  • Plan a Gift in Your Will for The Giving Plate

A gift in your will is a powerful way to make a lasting impact on vulnerable adults and children in our community through The Giving Plate.

Regardless of your age or wealth, a will is a popular method to leave a legacy and make a planned gift to The Giving Plate. This allows you to:

    • Direct your assets to what matters most to you

    • Provide essential services to individuals and families facing hunger

    • Support The Giving Plate's mission to alleviate food insecurity in Central Oregon

Policies no longer needed for family or business protection purposes can be excellent charitable gifts. When you transfer ownership of the policy to The Giving Plate, the cash value becomes a tax-deductible gift, including all future premium payments.

Name The Giving Plate as a Charitable Beneficiary of Your Donor-Advised Fund:

If you have a donor-advised fund and choose not to name an account successor, you can specify that the fund's remaining assets go to The Giving Plate.

Naming The Giving Plate as a beneficiary of retirement plans and deferred annuities allows you access to the funds during life and provides a probate-free transfer of assets. This estate gift can diminish tax consequences, enabling you to make a significant impact on people facing food insecurity.
